Konkokyo-Tengakukai is an organization which provides Tengaku at Konkokyo Headquarters and each local Konkokyo church, and hands down Tengaku (has developed and been transformed into Konkokyo) to future generations.

The Konkokyo-Tengakukai Headquarters are located in Konko-tyou Asaguchi-gun Okayama.

The organization's history is long and started at about the same time the religious body was formed. At first, it was a local organization of the religious body. In 1902 (the 35th year of Meiji), three years after Konkokyo became independent, "the Regulation of Tengakubu" was put into operation, and the organization and the players became protected formally as a local organization of the religious body and have been developed and managed as one of activities of the religious body.
After that, it had some minor changes, and in 1954 (the 29th year of Showa) the regulations of the religious body were amended and separated from the organization. "Konkokyo-Tengaku" was thus set up as an independent organization.

Now there are nine branches which systematically carry out activities.
When Tengakukai was started, there were only about 90 players who could play at Services of the Konkokyo Headquaters. At present, this number has grown to about 400 players and there are a few thousands members in total. The scale of the organization has expanded.
The members are followers of Konkokyo and are amateurs with their own occupations.
Main activities are practice meetings, study sessions, and practice meetings for beginners at Konkokyo Headquaters and each branch.
The wishes are to provide Tengaku at Services and pass Tengaku on to following generations, and present it to society as a part of Konkokyo culture.
